Private Health Insurance
The amount of your rebate for your treatment will vary depending on your individual cover with your health fund.
Please check with your provider to see if your private health fund covers Acupuncture and/or Remedial Massage. You will be provided with a receipt which you can then send to your provider as the clinic does not currently use HiCaps.
** Please note: rebates are available for remedial massage with all funds except Medibank Private and HCF.
The Chinese medicine profession joined the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme for the Health Profession in 2012. This is the same scheme that regulates doctors, physiotherapists, dentists, chiropractors, midwives etc.
Acupuncturists must now be registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) supported by AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) in order to offer acupuncture to the public and to be recognised by the Private Health Funds.
